Antipaladin Bard Cavalier Cleric Fighter Mage Paladin Psion Ranger Thief Multiclass
Mages are people who have devoted their lives to learning magic for the same reasons that motivate most people on a day-to-day basis, material gain and the pure "fun" of the use of magic. They therefore
have no powers of faith, and their time spent learning magic takes away from any time they might spend learning fighting skills. They are very capable of learning, however, offensive type spells and spells of a conjuring nature.
Mages are highly protective of the "art" and guard their knowledge jealously. They spend years studying and will expect apprentices to do the same. They will also be very careful to insure that magic doesn't fall into the "wrong" hands. Of course good will actively try to keep the knowledge from evil, evil will try to hoard the power only for themselves, et.c.
Being a mage is more or less like being a warrior. Only without all the undignified sweat and grunting. Oh, and without the need to wear enough metal to melt your grey matter into a puddle of sludge that runs out ofyour ears and drips into your boots on hot days. - 'Stefano Esposair, Archmage Arcane'
