Paladins are the protectors and symbols of all that is good in the realm of ShadowGate. They are cavaliers chosen by their god to battle the evil which constantly haunts this reality. A paladin's purpose varies but protection and law are always part of their honor code and they strictly adhere to the laws of a realm or their god.

A paladin will sacrifice himself in the name of good in different ways. They give what they have up to benefit others and they care for the weak and downtrodden. Being a noble and heroic warrior and also closely tuned with the gods of good, the paladin has high ideals that he must maintain at all times. He is also granted limited cleric spells.
