Gaurgan was born in the deeps of the Zachar forest, which is located far northwest from the city of Shadow. Centuries ago the elves were inhabiting that forest, but one day they decided to leave this blesses place for a friendly tribe of firbolgs, the Greystorm clan. Firbolgs promised to take care of the forest, and the elves left their powerful enchantments upon it to kee the forest safe. However, orcs and goblins, living in nearby lands, were constantly raiding the forest in hopes to destroy the home of firbolgs. Luckily, the greenskins could never stand a chance again the well-trained firbolg troops, and rather soon there was not a single greenskin left in all nearby lands around the forest. A calm life started... The forest grew and prospered, and so did the Greystorm clan. But such life was too boring for many of the firbolgs. One day the clan recieved news that their allied tribe, which lived not far from the Zachar forest, was overrun by various evil beasts. Infiltrators reported that is the army of the great witch-queen Rrantha, the Princess of Chaos. Her army was numerous and well-trained, and consisted of the most horrible monsters, but also with greenskins and some drow mages. By that time, her army destroyed many peaceful settlements of halflings and gnomes. And now her army reached the Zachar forest and nearby lands. The cheif of the Greystorm clan took command of the allied defenders. Their ranks were impressive, but still not so numerous as Rrantha's army was. There were occasional battles happening here and there, but the final battle was still ahead. And soon this time has come. The two armies faced. The battle was raging on, each side taking advantage from time to time. But suddenly the balance was broken. A kobold assassin sneaked into the firbolg commander's camp and assassinated him. The allied troops were scattered. Outraged, Gaurgan stepped out of the ranks, let out an unearthly howl, and with tears in his eyes rushed towards Rrantha's camp.... Suddenly, a thunderous blast was heard high in the skies. Everyone but Gaurgan stopped for a second, pondering what was going on. And at the same time, swarms of meteors and huge ice shards started speeding towards the Rrantha's army positions. A squadron of elven battlemages appeared on a far hill. These were the former inhabitants of the Zachar forest, who recieved sad news about invasion and hurried to help. The meteors kept falling, killing the monsters, but the drow mages used their abilities to protect Rrantha's camp from the elven magic. Finally, the Rrantha herself stepped out. She lifted her hands high in the air, chanting a long chant to some unknown evil god. Suddenly, black clouds covered the skies above the battlefield. And then, with the unearthly howl, Gaurgan appears from behind the hill, swinging his huge two-handed sword. With one single powerful swing, he cleaved skulls of Rrantha's guards and mages, and rushed towards Rrantha. She was about to try a deadly spell upon Gaurgan, but she was too late, and the giant sword sheared her body into two pieces. The battle was won... After the ballte, Gaurgan could not accept the Chief's death, and decided to leave his homeworld, atleast for a certain amount of time. He travelled to the city of Shadow, where, as he heard, adventurers like himself gather. Over time, he reached the city, and settled there for a new life. He reached the city over time. And the first impression about Shadow was... strange. Many unfamiliar faces, various races. Luckily he met some of his kind, the firbolgs, and some friendly elves, who helped him to get a little familiar with the surroundings. However, Gaurgan was surprised to see greenskins and drow in the city... like those who were raiding his homeland, like those who took part in killing the chief. He could not and cannot tolerate the presence of those, so he started to do his best to make those stay clear of the city, and was forcing to leave those who refused to. He continued his war with those races. First, he exterminated the goblins in a stronghold near Shadow, including their filthy king. Later he travelled to Deku, where there was a stronghold of drow. Their hideout has was turned to rubble rather soon. He hepled the good side win the battle for Tharis forest. He helped the friendly giants to drive the evil derros away from the giants' home. Then came the turn of the drow again. As soon as Gaurgan heard that there is yet another stronghold on the drow in the realm, he rushed to destroy it. However, this stronghold was much more greater than the one in Deku, but this fact did not stop Gaurgan from his quest. The battle was very long, but still Gaurgan was victorious, slaying most part of the drow population and descecrating the temple of Lloth. He followed the trails of the great Coyotte, repeating his victorious deeds. Later Gaurgan has accomplished many other great deeds, some more dignificant, some less. But he never gave up his quest to serve the good. The new period of his life started after he joined the Alliance of Light - a guild of good. Before that, he met two people who became his closest friends and allies - a good dwarf called Theros and a good elf called Veylynn, both faithful of Tempus. Later they all joined the Alliance of Light, making their friendship even stronger. Nowdays Gaurgan faithfully follows the path of good, and lives his life for the glory of Tempus. He still struggles the evil, fighting shoulder to shoulder with his allies, never stepping back from his cause.
