The mounted Wood Elves were next in line, and were a delight to paint. Warhawks have so very much character to them, and make for great looking models on the table. You'll note that I used large metal washers to provide some extra weight to the bases...it made a *huge* difference. I've gone to considerable lengths to vary the poses on the Warhawks to make them all unique.

I also wanted to do something unique and impressive with the leaders. The pose on the Wood Elf Mage is, in my opinion, outstanding. I'm hoping to reproduce it on my own Warhawk-riding mage when I get a chance to next work on him (by the way, I recommend a point cost of 20 for heroes and 30 for lords for Warhawks in 6th edition).
