The Birch Glades themselves are not without power. Some foolish few have found their way past the sharp-eyed Elven patrols and thought to wreck havoc upon the wood, only to discover to their folly that the wood protects itself quite well.
Dryads come in many shapes, and wear many different guises. The "Ghost Tree" Dryads, though born of the cottonwoods that grow near the banks of the streams of the Birch Glade, have the strength of Oak or the fury of Willow when the need demands it.
