    A beautiful day. No better but hope I shall be soon resolved with Gods help that I will serve him better and do my duty as well as possible. Saw Harry Travis had quite a pleasant talk with him. The sanitary Conditions of the Hospital very bad. little to eat and very poor food for sick at that Men grumble a great deal and they have cause to.

    layed down most of the time
    men when sick will show their evil nature quarreling and swearing paying to respect to God what ever
    feel drowsy from the effects of opium

    Rode through the large pasture (100 acres) with Rebecca downs to the Lake. saw the camels back, the lake is lovely, then upon the hill and on to the Log house. built by Mr. Potter and lived in some years--a most lovely day, and the last sabbath I expect to spend in this dear family.
