Boise, June 2009

The wedding had been planned for 9-9-09, easy to remember, but the prospect of several months of preparation, changes, and angst gave way to a preparation of a few days and a much more intimate event. Immediate families and grandparents plus direct support guests were contacted and the time was set for 7:30 p.m.

These pictures are directly from Robin's camera, passed around among several people, and we hope to add the picture sets of others attending. As you might guess, there was no "official" photographer. These reduced images may be clicked to view the original 2Mb images.

Getting Ready: The Patio

Karl and Robin had just returned from a short trip to the coast and had about four days to get everything ready for the wedding. Just two months before, the patio had been stripped down to the concrete and the fence. Robin's design of plantings was just settling in. The wedding was planned for "just immediate family," so it would fit in the little patio. Even though the number rose to two dozen, there was still room with the furniture removed.

The guest register sheet was made by Eric and the text is in Tolkein elvish. Karl mounted it on a laid paper folder with gilt mesh ribbon.
