Light Steam Archive -- Purpose

This archive is a continuing accumulation of print, manuscript, pictorial and multi-media presentations in the steam power field between models and toys on the bottom and locomotives, steamships and stationary power plants on the top end.

The chronology runs between Father Verbeist's steam carriage demonstration in the seventeenth century to last week's steam club event and links to today's list service correspondence. Major areas of interst are production steam cars from the early 1900s, the continual development by hobbyists and inventors of "the modern steam car," and the technological engineering basis for this entire range of topics.
