At some time in the mid-forties, perhaps April, 1945, the publication was renamed SCD&Steam Marine Motors and, perhaps at the same time, a new issue series was started, skipping volume and issue numbers. Editorship changed from the Bolsover brothers in York to J[ohn] N[ess] Walton in Carlyle and soon after on the Isle of Man.
