This magazine reviewed all light steam power development during its range of publication. It was operated by the Bolsover brothers. Publication went to bi- and then tri-monthly issues as paper supplies were restricted by the war.

Publication was renamed in the forties to SCD & Steam Marine Motors. It received a new owner/editor/publisher J[ohn] N[ess] Walton now of the Isle of Man and eventually remade into Light Steam Power.
